I’ve worked on it, but I can’t write a more eye-catching description of this gem than what the owner herself wrote: “For our inspiration, we turn to style icons. A handbag worn by Grace Kelly, a raincoat on Audrey Hepburn, a snake cuff on Elizabeth Taylor. It is our pleasure to preserve these iconic relics from another time and to share them with you.
Icon Style is an antique jewelry and vintage fashion boutique located in New York’s historic Upper West Side. The boutique specializes in a wide range of costume, fine, silver and designer jewelry spanning eras from the mid-19th century to the present day. In addition to jewelry, we offer textiles, clothing, home furnishings and lighting.
An old drugstore has been transformed into a charming boutique filled with antique jewelry ($ 35 to $ 18,000), accessories ($ 35 to $ 2,500) and furniture ($ 325 to $ 2,500). Wooden cases ($ 2,500 each) that originally contained apothecary products now house gems, including 1980s Yves Saint Laurent heart-shaped clip-on earrings ($ 250) , a 1930s glass and brass filigree necklace ($ 295) and a 1950s Egyptian-inspired bead bib necklace ($ 295). You can also purchase accessories, like a 1950s Whiting and Davis mesh evening bag ($ 165); clothing, including a 1980s Valentino striped silk blouse ($ 325); and home decor items, such as a 1914 Parisian art print ($ 195).
Of all the memories or possible mementos of a trip to New York City, none seem more special than a unique piece of jewelry, a hat, or an original piece of art. For hats, read about Hat Works, for The Old Print Shop illustrations.
