This here bag, they call it the “Peekaboo.” Like that game little kids play. Peekaboo, I see you! Heard someone say it used to be called “Hide and Seek,” but some fancy-pants named Fendi thought “Peekaboo” was better. Sounds silly to me, but what do I know? I ain’t no fancy city folk.
They started makin’ these things back in, oh, 2008, I think? Some fall/winter thing. I remember seein’ ’em pop up around then. All the ladies in town started wantin’ one. Said they were real special. Fendi, they started back in 1925. Long time ago. Used to just make fur stuff, I heard. Now they make all sorts of things. Shoes, clothes, you name it!
This one, this Peekaboo ISeeU Small, it’s a little fella. Not too big, not too small. Just right, some might say. Good for a night out, or when you just need to carry a few things, I guess. Got one that’s kinda like champagne color. Shiny, like. And they got this fancy weavin’ on it. They call it “interlacing.” Looks like a lot of work to me! And the inside ain’t even all lined! Just some of it.

And another one, they call it “beige.” Light brown, kinda. This one’s got that twisty lock thing on both sides. Keeps your stuff safe, I reckon. Inside’s pink and brown. Soft, they say. Nappa leather. Sounds like somethin’ you’d take a nap on!
They say it’s a “statement piece.” Whatever that means. Must mean it’s supposed to get people talkin’. Well, it sure got me talkin’! They say it’s made of “high-quality” somethin’ or other. Probably means it costs a lot of money. They have a even smaller one, this Nano one. I saw the price tag start at 1 dollar or something. Don’t know what that means.
Some folks get these things ’cause they don’t know what size they want. They get the small one, and the even smaller one, and then they decide. This Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Small, is not too big, not too small. One lady said she wanted it for special occasions. Not for every day. Makes sense, I guess. Wouldn’t want to get your fancy bag dirty!
The leather’s supposed to be real soft, they say. Smooth, too. I felt one once. It was soft, I’ll give ’em that. But soft things get dirty easy. I’d be worried about ruinin’ it. I heard someone say it was real, came from the Fendi website place. They say it was a nine out of ten for quality, don’t know what that means.
This Peekaboo ISeeU, it’s a new version of some other bag, I guess. They say you can change the pocket. Make it look different. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me. But I guess that’s what the city folks like. Always changin’ things up. Keepin’ things “fresh,” they call it.
