Okay, so, I tried to make my own Fendi Mon Tresor bucket bag. You know, that really nice classic style bag. I love this bag, and I always think it’s a cool thing to have.
First, I got some white leather that looked pretty close to the real deal. I spent a good chunk of time just looking at pictures of the bag online, trying to figure out all the little details. It’s got this drawstring thing at the top and these metal pieces that look like the Fendi logo. And it comes with two straps, one long and one short, so you can wear it different ways.
I started by cutting out the leather pieces. That was tricky, I won’t lie. Getting the shape of the bucket just right took a few tries. Then I embossed the Fendi logo into the leather. It’s a three-dimensional pattern, so I had to be real careful not to mess it up.
- Sewing it all together was another story. I’m not great with a sewing machine, but I managed. The hardest part was getting the drawstring to work smoothly. I had to redo that a couple of times.
- Then came the metal decorations. I found some Fendi logo shape pieces online and attached them to the bag. They really made it look like the real thing.
- Finally, I made the two shoulder straps. I used some of the leftover leather and attached some metal clasps.
After all that work, I ended up with a bag that looked pretty darn close to the Fendi Mon Tresor. It’s not perfect, but I’m proud of it. It holds all my stuff, and I get compliments on it all the time.
My Thoughts
If you’re thinking about trying this yourself, I’d say go for it. It’s a fun project, and you’ll learn a lot. Just be prepared to spend some time on it, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. That’s how you learn, right?
