Well, well, well, look what we got here. A fancy watch, they call it Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? They say it’s for “specialty stores.” What in tarnation does that even mean? Sounds like somethin’ only them rich folks would understand.
This here watch, it ain’t your everyday kinda watch. Nope. It’s all shiny and… rectangular. Yeah, you heard me right. Not round like the ones my old man used to wear. This one’s got straight edges, like a little tiny picture frame you strap to your wrist. I reckon it’s supposed to be fancy. They call it Stainless Steel. Whatever that is, it sure is shiny.
They say it’s for “mature” people. Mature, huh? Guess that means old as dirt, like me. But then they say, “not old.” Well, which is it, you young whippersnappers? Make up your minds! Can’t be both, can it? I’ve seen enough seasons to know that much.
- This watch, they say, it flips. Reverso, they call it. Sounds like somethin’ you’d do to your flapjacks.
- Supposed to be a sports watch, but from way back in 1931. That’s even before my time!
- They say it does what it’s supposed to do, and then some. What’s that supposed to mean? Does it do the dishes too? I doubt it.
Now, I ain’t never seen one of these Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph watches up close, but I seen pictures. They got ’em in these fancy stores, they say. Places with bright lights and shiny floors. Not like the general store back home. We just got what we need there, not all this fluff.
They say it goes with denim and sneakers. Well, I’ll be… Guess even fancy folks wear jeans sometimes. I thought they just wore them fancy suits and dresses all the time. Maybe this watch ain’t so highfalutin after all. Or maybe it is. I reckon it depends on who you ask.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre, that’s the name of the folks who make these things, they make a whole bunch of ’em, they say. A hundred, maybe more. All different kinds, I guess. I only know about this one, the Reverso Tribute Chronograph. Sounds like a song, don’t it?
You can’t find these watches just anywhere, you know. They ain’t at the five-and-dime. Nope. You gotta go to them special Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques. Sounds like a place where they sell fancy clothes and perfume. I bet everything in there costs an arm and a leg. Probably gotta mortgage the farm just to buy one of these watches!
This one fella said it’s a watch for “mature people,” then he goes on sayin’ you can wear it with jeans. Now, I ain’t no fashion expert, but I know what I like. And I like things that are simple and do what they’re supposed to. This Imitation JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it seems a bit much, even for me. And I’ve seen a lot in my day.
- They got these stores all over the place, I hear. Big cities, mostly. Places I ain’t never been.
- Folks buy and sell these things. Like tradin’ horses, I suppose. But I bet these watches cost a whole lot more than a good horse.
- They say this Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s a special one. Got all sorts of doohickeys on it. More than I could ever figure out.
Now, why would anyone need a watch that flips? I don’t get it. My old watch, it just tells the time. That’s all I need it to do. Don’t need it to flip or do any other fancy tricks. But I guess some folks like that sort of thing. To each their own, as they say.
These Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, they seem to be a big deal. These online review, they got lots of it. People talkin’ about ’em like they’re the best thing since sliced bread. I reckon if you got the money, and you like fancy things, then maybe this is the watch for you. But for me, I’ll stick to my old trusty timepiece. It may not be fancy, but it gets the job done. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? I don’t need no Imitation JLC Reverso to tell me what time it is.
This whole Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph Specialty Stores thing, it’s a bit beyond me. I’m just a simple person, with simple needs. But I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go ’round. And if some folks want to spend their money on a fancy flippin’ watch, well, that’s their business. Just don’t expect me to understand it. It is a waste for sure. These young people are really something else.
